EVIDENCE EXCHANGE ASSISTS WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE
SEDONA CONFERENCE WEBINAR ON JOINT REPOSITORIES

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (November 1, 2009): On October 26, 2009, Michael Prounis participated as a panelist in THE SEDONA CONFERENCE® "VOICES FROM THE DESERT" WEBINAR SERIES Presentation on: "RISKS, REWARDS, & REPOSITORIES: ADDRESSING THE USE OF JOINT REPOSITORIES IN DISCOVERY". The revised Federal Rules have emphasized “new forms of cooperation” and this Webinar explored one concrete cooperative strategy - joint document and ESI repositories. Considered as part of a strategic embrace of The Sedona Conference® Cooperation Proclamation, the establishment of a joint repository helps the parties anticipate and constructively address a number of discovery issues, including forms of production, confidentiality, cost sharing, and cost reduction.

This webinar featured a panel of experienced legal professionals who provided the judicial (Hon. John M. Facciola, United States Magistrate Judge), plaintiff (William P. Butterfield, Hausfeld LLP), defense (James G. Hein, Jr., Cravath, Swaine, & Moore LLP), and vendor (Michael Prounis, Evidence Exchange) perspectives on joint repositories. The panel was moderated by Kenneth J. Withers of The Sedona Conference® and explored how trends such as "cloud computing" may make joint repositories the norm as opposed to the exception in civil litigation. Most importantly, the panel provided insight on the key ingredient -- a well-thought-out protocol –, which, is the necessary ingredient, required to achieve success in this area. Evidence Exchange is excited to participate in THE SEDONA CONFERENCE® "VOICES FROM THE DESERT" WEBINAR SERIES and to a 2009 / 2010 Working Group Series Sponsor. We strongly recommend that our Clients regularly tune into THE SEDONA CONFERENCE® "VOICES FROM THE DESERT" WEBINAR SERIES for up-to-date commentary on emerging E-Discovery issues.
