TOM SVOBODA APPOINTED AS MANAGING DIRECTOR, MARKETING & EDUCATION
NEW YORK, NY (January 1, 2010): Evidence Exchange is delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas J.Svoboda as Managing Director, Marketing & Education. Tom will lead our effort to add value to our Clients through custom education and peer-to-peer collaborative ventures between members of the Evidence Exchange Client Community. Tom brings a rich blend of experience to our Company, having served most recently as Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP’s Director of Operations and founder of their highly regarded Litigation Support Department.
Tom brings a rich blend of experience to our Company, having served most recently as Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP’s Director of Litigation Support (July 1994 to December 2009) and founder of their highly regarded Litigation Support Department. During seven of those years, Tom concurrently served as Director of Operations of the Firm. Litigation Support at Cravath includes a very large paralegal department and Tom’s responsibilities included coordination of temporary lawyers and paralegals, technical support including courtroom systems, foreign language document translation, trial site operations, and managing both the discovery attorney and document review attorney programs.
Tom came to Cravath from IBM where he held various marketing and technical management positions, including six years managing IBM's Corporate Legal Departments Litigation Analysis Department where he reported to the Associate General Counsel for Litigation.
Tom will serve as one of Evidence Exchange’s official representatives to The Sedona Conference and through Tom, we at Evidence Exchange hope to address our client’s concerns, as noted in our January 2009 survey, launch the next generation of Web-based training and collaboration on winning litigation support strategies.
