Collectively, our Senior Management team has over 200 years of legal systems experience, including over 100 years of full-time experience in Electronic Data Discovery. Evidence Exchange’s Senior Managers have been working together for the last 20 years at Evidence Exchange (1999 – present), Prounis Consulting Group (1989 – 1999, includes 3 years as part of IKON) and Arthur Andersen & Co.’s Legal Information Systems practice (1982-1989).
Evidence Exchange is the brainchild of Michael Prounis and Myron Eagle, both venerated experts in the area of electronic discovery since the field’s earliest days in the 1980s. After pioneering the evidentiary support offerings at Arthur Andersen & Co., S.C., they founded Prounis Consulting Group Inc. to provide sophisticated futuristic litigation support solutions, including the earliest electronic discovery application to law firms and corporate clients in 1987. Prounis and Eagle sold Prounis Consulting Group to IKON Office Solutions in 1996, and as members of the Leadership Council helped grow IKON’s Legal Document Solutions business to over $750 million in annual revenues. They left IKON in 1999 to found Evidence Exchange.
Our team is among the most experienced in the area of electronic discovery, with large-scale EDD project experience going back to the late 1980s and full-time practice commitment since the mid 1990s. All employees have deep industry experience, with an average of 15 years of industry experience across the organization. Due to the deep domain expertise and the robustness of our Company’s approach to E-Discovery, leading law firms and corporations in the country actively seek our services. Very few EDD vendors can effectively compete with our Company’s credentials, knowledge and industry experience.
MICHAEL J. PROUNIS
Chief Executive Officer
Michael J. Prounis is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Evidence Exchange. Mr. Prounis has worked exclusively in the legal systems technology and services sector since 1977. He has 30 years experience solving complex project management problems for the leading law firms and corporations.
Mr. Prounis founded Arthur Andersen & Co.’s initial offering in the legal information systems (LIS) area in 1982, and served as worldwide director of its practice. In 1987, while working on the 11-year running Drexel Burnham Lambert investigation/bankruptcy reorganization, he became an early pioneer in the area of electronic data discovery & production. In 1989, he resigned from the Andersen partnership and along with 22 Andersen consultants, co-founded Prounis Consulting Group, Inc. (PCG) together with Myron Eagle. In 1996, after having sold 70% of Prounis Consulting Group, Inc. to Alco Standard Corporation (now known as IKON Office Solutions), he co-founded Evidence Exchange, again together with Myron Eagle. Mr. Prounis was Co-Chair of the ABA Digital Evidence Project’s Survey Subcommittee on the 2006 Discovery Amendments and testified on its behalf. Since 2003, he has been a participant member of the Sedona Conference. He is a former member of the Georgetown Law School Advisory CLE Panel on Electronic Discovery and has lectured at Duke Law School.
MYRON EAGLE, ESQ.
President / COO
Myron Eagle, Esq. is the President, COO and Co-Founder of Evidence Exchange. He has over 25 years experience solving complex project management problems for the leading and most prestigious law firms and corporations. He has helped birth the E-Discovery industry and has on more than a few occasions provided compelling testimony in high profile situations that resulted in a positive outcome for our Clients. Mr. Eagle has worked alongside Michael Prounis through various ventures for over 25 years. They together founded Arthur Andersen & Co.’s initial offering in the electronic discovery market in 1982 and in 1989 co-founded Prounis Consulting Group, Inc. In 1996, after having sold 70% of Prounis Consulting Group, Inc. to Alco Standard Corporation (now known as IKON Office Solutions), Mr. Eagle and Michael Prounis co-founded Evidence Exchange. At IKON, Mr. Eagle held various senior management positions until leaving to work full-time at Evidence Exchange in 1999. Mr. Eagle is a participant member/sponsor of the Sedona Conference and a frequent speaker at PLI. He holds a JD degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
THOMAS SVOBODA
Managing Director, Marketing & Education
Thomas J. Svoboda serves as Managing Director, Marketing & Education. Tom leads our custom education and peer-to-peer collaborative venture; and serves as a strategic advisor to our Company and Clients. Tom joined Evidence Exchange in January 2010, having spent 15 years as Director of Litigation Support (July 1994 to December 2009) for Cravath, Swaine & Moore’s Litigation Support practice. During seven of those years, Tom concurrently served as Director of Operations of the Firm. Litigation Support at Cravath includes a very large paralegal department and Tom’s responsibilities included coordination of temporary lawyers and paralegals, technical support including courtroom systems, foreign language document translation, trial site operations, and managing both the discovery attorney and document review attorney programs.
Tom came to Cravath from IBM where he held various marketing and technical management positions, including six years managing IBM's Corporate Legal Department and Litigation Analysis Department where he reported to the Associate General Counsel for Litigation. During that time, Tom worked closely with IBM Legal Department Executives and numerous outside law firms, including Cravath. His work included various complex business litigation involving antitrust matters, trade secret issues, deceptive trade practices, and business disputes in both domestic and international venues.
JASON CHANG
Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer
Jason Chang serves as Managing Director & Chief Technology Officer. Jason has been working with Michael Prounis and Myron Eagle since 1987 and has held senior management positions at Arthur Andersen & Co., Prounis Consulting Group, Inc., IKON Office Solutions and Evidence Exchange. He is has worked and innovated on some of the largest and most complex Electronic Discovery projects. In his current capacity, Jason oversees Software Development, Data Intake and directs the systems administration activity of the Company. He is a graduate of New York University.
WEI CHEN
Managing Director of Post-Processing
Wei Chen serves as Managing Director of Post-Processing. Wei has been working with Michael Prounis and Myron Eagle since 1993 and has held senior management positions at Prounis Consulting Group, Inc., IKON Office Solutions and Evidence Exchange. He is a highly sought-after and respected consultant’s “consultant” who has worked on some of the largest and most complex Electronic Discovery projects. In his current capacity, Wei directs the post-processing operations activity and quality control effort of the Company. He is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
CATHY O’CONNOR
Managing Director of Client Management
Cathy O’Connor serves as Managing Director of Client Management. Cathy has been working with Michael Prounis and Myron Eagle since 1987 and has held senior management positions at Arthur Andersen & Co., Prounis Consulting Group, Inc., IKON Office Solutions and Evidence Exchange. One of the early pioneers of E-Discovery, Cathy has worked on some of the largest and most complex Electronic Discovery projects. In her current capacity, Cathy directs the Client Management activities of the Company. She is a graduate of New York University.
EVE ROMMEL
Managing Director of ESI Processing
Eve Rommel serves as Managing Director of ESI Processing. Eve has been working with Michael Prounis and Myron Eagle since 1987 and has held senior management positions at Arthur Andersen & Co., Prounis Consulting Group, Inc., IKON Office Solutions, and Evidence Exchange. She is a highly sought-after consultant who has worked on some of the earliest and largest Electronic Discovery projects. In her current capacity, Eve directs the ESI processing activities of the Company. She is a graduate of Drexel University.
HOYLE FULBRIGHT
Managing Director, Software Development
Hoyle Fulbright serves as Managing Director of Software Development, having led Evidence Exchange’s efforts in this critical area since our inception, first as a software development partner and then in 2004 as a full-time employee. Hoyle leads our New Product Development initiative from Leesburg, Virginia and is responsible for shaping our next generation of ESI Processing and E-Discovery solutions. Hoyle brings over 14 years of experience to the position. Prior to joining Evidence Exchange, Hoyle assumed increasingly responsible software development positions at companies such as Surety, Inc., Visix Software, Inc., and Engineered Software. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University.
CURTIS DONATO
Managing Director, Database Operations, Online Document Review Services
Curtis Donato serves as the Director of Operations for all online review services. Curtis has been with Evidence Exchange since 2005 and has held senior technical and director level positions at Trusecure, Surety, Infodata and Sterling Software as well as the US Army. He has nearly 20 years of experience in multiple disciplines of the software development lifecycle, operations and database administration and development. Curtis is experienced in technical management leading software development, engineering support, operations, and technical support teams.
JONATHAN STARK
Director of ESI Processing Operations
Jonathan Stark serves as Director of ESI Processing Operations. Jonathan has been working with Evidence Exchange in the area of ESI Processing since 2004. In his current capacity, Jonathan directs the day-to-day operation of our ESI processing unit. Prior to that, over an 8-year period, Jonathan held several legal technology positions, including time spent as a Manager in the Law Department of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. At Evidence Exchange, Jonathan has grown to become an integral part of our operations management team. He has worked on some of the largest and most complex Electronic Discovery projects. Moreover, he contributes significantly to our software development efforts through his work in the New Product Development initiative. He is a graduate of Iona College and New York University.
JASON LYNN
Managing Director of Hosting Services
Jason Lynn manages all aspects of document review projects hosted by Evidence Exchange. Jason has expertise in litigation, enterprise and operating systems, networks, hardware, software, documentation, and support. Before joining Evidence Exchange, he managed information systems and litigation support at an intellectual property law firm. In that role he oversaw all aspects of technology systems and created and managed the litigation support function. Jason received a Master of Science degree in Security and Databases from Boston University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology.
