(New York, NY) - February 14, 2005: On February 11, 2005 Michael Prounis and fellow Digital Evidence Project Survey members testified in Washington D.C. before the Committee on Rules of Practice and Procedure. The committee convened the public hearing to gather testimony concerning the proposed changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure from digital discovery experts and industry leaders. The Digital Evidence Project Survey Subcommittee was invited to share the results of their January survey, which queried corporate counsel on the proposed amendments. Commenting on his testimony, Prounis noted: “We were looking to gain an untapped perspective and judge the real needs of our clients. The survey found that the vast majority of corporate counsel agreed that the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP) needed to address the new demands of electronic discovery.
