EVIDENCE EXCHANGE DEVELOPS THE SECURE DIGITAL PHOTOCOPIER
(NEW YORK, NY) - 2001
Evidence Exchange, a company that has been at the forefront of legal document processing since its inception in 1996 and has developed many of the tools and techniques now accepted as standards in the field, has developed the Secure Digital Photocopier (SDP). The SDP is an innovative process that takes electronic files of any format and converts them to readable, searchable, printable PDF files, while it fingerprints and digitally notarizes them so they are secure through the entire discovery process. The SDP can convert over 300 file types, including e-mail and attachments, business documents, presentations, digital photographs, calendars, schedules, forensic data and database files. The SDP is faster, more secure and more cost-effective than current practices. It processes documents directly from their original electronic formats, only rendering to paper when and if it must be produced in that format.

Evidence Exchange is the first to provide a system for securely duplicating documents of disparate types so that there is a cryptographically secure link between the copy and the original. The system produces duplicate renditions of digital documents, in a canonical interchange format, branded with serial numbers that are cryptographically linked to the original. These secured numbers are both sequential with all other copied documents and securely linked with the original itself.

The SDP leverages leading third party software together with proprietary, custom designed software that includes Surety Inc.'s Digital Notary Service (DNS), Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and Microsoft Office.

Evidence Exchange was founded by Michael Prounis and Myron Eagle, two of the leading Electronic Data Discovery practitioners in the legal services industry. Collectively they offer over 40 years of industry experience, having worked with such companies as Prounis Consulting Group and Arthur Andersen Co. Since 1982, Michael Prounis and Myron Eagle have worked together managing high profile litigation support services.

Evidence Exchange is headquartered in New York City at 21 Penn Plaza in Manhattan, with software development and testing locations in Long Island and Westchester. A Technical Advisory Board made up of representatives from DuPont, Prudential Securities, LEXIS/NEXIS, Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), and other prominent organizations has been formed to assist in business strategy planning.
